Planning appeal mast demonstrations using Mitsubishi Delica radio survey vehicle

The Mitsubishi Delica is best described as a 4x4 all terrain multi purpose vehicle. Our Delica is modified from standard with additional underbody protection, additional lighting, wide all terrain pattern tyres and multiple tow hitchs to deliver our trailer masts. It is also fitted with a GPS navigation system, remote tracker unit, a demountable Clark Mast QT9M/HP telescopic mast, additional split charged battery for radio survey equipment and 220V inverter and GPS and survey antenna mounts for use with our CCW Radio Survey Tool.

The photograph on the right shows our previous G-Wagen survey vehicle demonstrating the height of a proposed 15m mast to the local town planning authority in Bakewell, Derbyshire for one of our customers. A lightweight extension was added to the Hilomast NK9 telescopic mast to reach the required height of 15m. The advantage of using this equipment over a cherrypicker of similar height is that the mast closely resembles the modern slimline masts now being installed and the compact 4x4 vehicle has a low impact on the ground requiring no temporary track way and can gain access where larger truck mounted equipment cannot go. The mast can also be erected and dismantled in five minutes.
